Bob Smittcamp Family Neurosciences Institute is a healthcare renovation within an existing five-story building. Quiring transformed the full fifth floor and a portion of the fourth floor into medical office and ambulatory care space, with exam rooms, office/exam areas, waiting areas, lounges, support spaces, and staff areas. The renovation also extends through the building with two new elevators, a refreshed first-floor lobby, and updated circulation between levels. Exterior improvements create a more defined patient arrival experience through a new north-facing glass curtain wall on the first and second floors, a new drop-off canopy, and a reconfigured vehicular drop-off loop. Site improvements include accessible path-of-travel upgrades, patient transfer areas, parking accessibility improvements, a center water feature, and related landscape and entry enhancements that support clearer access to the facility.
