Jim is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the construction industry. His career is defined by his work ethic, belief in our core values and his desire to make a positive impact with our teams, trade partners, design consultants, and clients. His most cherished asset is the relationships he has developed throughout the industry. In his role as Vice President of Strategic Planning & Development, he is well appointed to lead the company’s future planning efforts. Jim's wealth of experience spans a multitude of sectors, including healthcare, multi-family housing, hospitality, mixed-use developments, senior living, education, office, and general commercial.

Josh Sherfield is the President & CEO of Quiring General, LLC, bringing over 20 years of construction industry experience and a passion for leading high-performing teams. Since joining Quiring in 2014, Josh has helped shape the company’s strategic direction and culture, leading its expansion into new markets and deepening its commitment to operational excellence.

Under his leadership, Quiring has grown its presence in both Central California and the Bay Area while maintaining its focus on client relationships, people development, and successfully delivering meaningful, impactful projects. Josh is committed to building a company that lives out its purpose of Building What Matters—from the buildings constructed to the teams and communities supported along the way.

Mike Schussel is a seasoned industry veteran with an impressive 24-year track record in the construction sector. As the Vice President of Quiring General, he plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s operations and strategic initiatives within the Central California Region. His expertise encompasses project management, resource allocation, and cost-effective solutions, making him an invaluable asset to the organization.

Under Mike’s leadership, the company has achieved remarkable growth and success, earning a reputation for reliability, quality, and innovation in the construction industry. He fosters a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and fostering relationships with clients and partners alike. Mike’s dedication to his craft, extensive industry knowledge, and commitment to excellence make him a driving force behind the company’s continued success in Central California and beyond.

With his 19 years of experience in the construction industry and extensive background in executive project management and architecture, Rich has developed relationships with HCAI and other industry leaders. After numerous years with Quiring General, Rich was charged with opening our second office in the Bay Area. He took the company culture and Quiring Experience to the Bay Area to create a start-up/grass roots operation, leading to generating 33% of Quiring Generals corporate revenue with his team in Pleasanton, CA. This expansion has allowed the company to not only grow financially but grow and deepen the experience of the team aligning with Quiring’s mission of Building What Matters.

Rich oversees all Bay Area operations to ensure that Quiring’s performance is consistent with the agreement, our values and our commitment to providing exceptional preconstruction and construction services. He leads and develops new growth directives and ensures the bay area staff has the necessary training and opportunities for growth. Rich partners with our Business Development team to cater to and build relationships with current clients, as well as foster and grow new client relationships in the Bay Area.
