Lower Operation Costs, Higher Productivity,
Better Investment... Our current economy has increased our drive to spend money wisely and green building is just that; a wise investment. Think about how you could benefit from a few of the economic impacts achieved by a LEED certified building:
Lower Operational Costs: green buildings use on average 32% less electricity and 36% less total energy than new buildings. They also use on average 30 percent less water than non-LEED buildings.
Higher Productivity: The EPA estimates the nationwide value of improved office worker productivity from indoor environmental improvements (such as high quality indoor air, access to views and natural light) to be $20 billion to $160 billion. For example, after Toyota's customer services unit moved into a LEED-Gold building, absenteeism fell by 14 percent.
Better Investment: according to the McGraw-Hill 2006 Green Building SmartMarket Report, green buildings deliver:
Green building has proven a wise investment for Quiring General. "Having two LEED Associated Professionals on staff has been a great asset to the comany," says Greg Quiring, Vice President. "We are currently involved in a LEED project here in Fresno and the LEED program has helped us explore and develop more efficient and sustainable building solutions for our Central Valley clients."
Make a better investment today; let's start a LEED project together!
